- Prior to Season 6, the location for Hell's Kitchen was occupied by another frequent Dawson's Creek hotspot, Mollye's Market. Producers purchased the store and converted it into the bar for the remainder of the series.[1]
- After the series ended, Hell's Kitchen was sold and the new owners kept the name and bar status.[2] The bar is now a well known Wilmington feature.
- The bar was originally going to be called The Dark Horse Saloon[3] where Pacey was planned to be a barback and Karen Torres a cocktail waitress until the name changed and their stories were moved to a new location, Civilization.[4]
