Following the events of last year, Dawson finds himself resisting letting Pacey and Joey back into his life. Andie focuses her energy on getting into Harvard, Jen revisits the past and Jack meets someone who has an unexpected impact on his life.

Back at the Yacht Club, Joey realizes that Pacey and Jen are stuck in the middle of a dangerous storm and may not make it out alive if she and Dawson don't overcome their differences and come to their rescue.

Jack and Jen have a lot of different choices, but Jack is pushing for New York. Joey is devastated when she realises she doesn't qualify for financial aid and Dawson offers to sponsor her tuition with his inheritance from Brooks.

Eastern Standard Time

It's senior ditch day at Capeside High and while Joey and Jen head to New York to confront Jen's estranged father (guest star Don McManus), Dawson and Gretchen (guest star Sasha Alexander) hit the road for a romantic adventure together and Pacey and Drue (Mark Matkevitch) form an alliance that ends in handcuffs.

Gail is reaching her due date and have a few false labors before the real thing kicks in. Joey fears that she may be late, but can't get a hold of Pacey. Jack finds out that Tobey was beat up in a hate crime and urges Tobey to go to the police.

Jen is reeling from her recent confrontation with her father and gets drunk at Prom. Jack asks Tobey to Prom but has a hard time being around him once there. Pacey feels out of place at the Prom and lets out his frustrations with his life by breaking up with Joey.

Jen is hurt when Grams informs her that she's selling her house in part to pay for Jen's tuition in Boston, prompting Jen to tell Jack that she can't go with him.

The Graduate

Joey prepares her valedictorian speech and Andie returns to Capeside for graduation. Pacey struggles with finishing his extra work in time to graduate with everyone else. Drue enlists Jen for a prank for the ceremony, but the principal is on to them.
